32 Smith Street is a 28 storey PCA A-Grade commercial tower in Parramatta with ground floor retail, car parking, end of trip facilities, and public domain improvement including two new laneway links known as James Lane to the east and William Lane to the south, and enhancements to Phillip and Smith Streets.
The building was designed to reduce energy and water consumption and was designed to feature a ground level ‘urban room’ event space, an elevated podium terrace with river views and a tree covered sky deck as well as floor to ceiling windows to optimise natural light.
Jano was appointed as the Senior Design Manager and responsible for presenting key aspects of the projects to the Developers (GPT) and obtaining the necessary approvals.
We were also heavily involved with developing the procurement strategy and schedule for the different trades and then managing their works on site.
The project was completed in January 2021.
